Monumental Art Project with Amanda BrowderSunday, March 29

Join internationally renowned artist Amanda Browder at the KMA to help piece and sew her monumental fabric installation that will be installed on ArtsWestchester’s historic 9-story building in White Plains in May 2020. Browder is an NEA grant recipient and has installed her works covering buildings at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, Buffalo Public Library and Arlington Arts Center, among other sites. Meet the artist and work with her to participate in this exciting installation! No previous sewing experience necessary. All ages welcome.

We need your fabric donations!

  • Saturated, colorful fabrics and bright patterns
  • Cotton, poly, canvas, rayon, velvet
  • Non-stretchy materials that are opaque and are larger than 1 foot in one direction

Note: we cannot accept white, beige and brown fabrics or cloting of any kind. Please drop off all donations at the Museum.
