Join internationally renowned artist Michele Oka Doner and Executive Director Michael Gitlitz for this live video webinar. Learn about Oka Doner's interest in the connectivity of nature, human ritual, adornment, illumination and science. Employing a variety of materials, the breadth of her artistic production encompasses sculpture, design objects, furniture, jewelry, public art and video installations, mirroring the world around her – from the small and intimate to the large and magnificent. Discover how her nature-inspired art, fueled by her lifelong study and appreciation of the natural world, is filtered through imagination and experience.


Oka Doner's work may be found in the collections of The Metropolotan Museum of Art, the Whiteny Museum of American Art, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Louvre, the Victoria & Albert Museum and in public installations such as A Walk on the Beach, the mile and a quarter bronze and terrazzo concourse in the Miami International Airport, among others.
