This summer our creativity club meets for six sessions of discovery, experimentation, and art making. Each workshop explores a different media, theme, or technique, inspired by the artistic carpets and rugs on view in our summer exhibition. Sign up for one or all!

7/13: Creative Nature: A nature walk to collect wildlife materials starts off this day in which flowers, sticks, and plants are used for beautiful stick looms, leaf printing, and natural patterns.

7/20: Upcycled Weaving: Unexpected, recycled, and found materials take on a new life in surprising weaving projects.

7/27: Make a Rug: Bring discarded fabrics and clothing to make a spectacular hand-made rug. Each student will walk away with an amazing, functional area rug.

8/3: Artistic Weaving: Weaving takes on new forms in this busy day filled with multiple projects that create woven artworks using yarn, fabric, words, and other materials.

8/10: Woven Paper Creations: This fun day begins with creating painted, patterned, and marbled papers to use in paper weaving projects.
