Art Adventures Level One

Art Adventures Level 1 (grades K-2)
Wednesdays, October 20, 27; November 3, 10, 17; December 1, 8

A ball gown constructed of paper maps and an installation of over 1,000 discs cut from old maps are just a few of the astonishing artworks that inspire this series of Art Adventures classes. Each week students will discover new techniques, materials, themes, and ideas in the exhibition Mapping: Memory and Motion in Contemporary Art and apply them to their own map-related artworks. Students will build, collage, paint, transform, and recreate maps as part of this seven-week course.
