Mark di Suvero in Conversation with Darsie Alexander

Saturday, November 5, 2016, 5:00 - 6:30 PM
$150  Tickets reserved for KMA Members, All membership levels welcome.

Mark di Suvero is one of the most important artists of his generation. His dramatic steel geometries connect earth and sky, space and time, and meld the monumental and the intimate.

On October 23rd we open the first major installation of work by Mark di Suvero at the KMA, an exhibition of sculptures that will transform the natural landscape of the museum. The South Lawn will feature di Suvero's 30-foot tall Yoga (1991), and in the Marilyn M. Simpson Sculpture Garden, Rust Angel (1995).

To mark this auspicious occasion for the museum, Executive Director Darsie Alexander is hosting a very special reception with the artist. The reception will include a discussion with Mark who will share his experiences creating large-scale site-specific sculpture.

This premium ticket includes wine and light hors d'oeuvres.
Very limited avaiability, please call (914) 232-9555 ext.0 for reservations.
