The Katonah Museum of Art invites you to join nationally acclaimed authors Elizabeth Berg and Sue Miller at the 11th Annual Literary Lunch, where you will have an opportunity to learn more about their creative process. Ms. Berg’s The Last Time I Saw You and Ms. Miller’s The Lake Shore Limited are scheduled for release in April. Author Benjamin Cheever will moderate the conversation.

About the authors

Benjamin Hale Cheever (moderator) is the author of four novels (The Plagiarist, The Partisan, Famous After Death, The Good Nanny), and two works of non-fiction (Selling Ben Cheever, Strides). He edited The Letters of John Cheever. Most recently he and illustrator, Tim Grajek, collaborated on a children’s book titled The First Dog. He is the host of “About Writing,” which can be seen at PCTV76.org. Mr. Cheever lives in Pleasantville with his wife, Janet Maslin, literary critic for The New York Times.

Sue Miller is the best-selling author of the novels The Senator’s Wife; Lost in the Forest; The World Below; While I Was Gone (an Oprah Book Club selection); The Distinguished Guest; For Love; Family Pictures (nominated for a National Book Critics Circle Award) The Good Mother, the story collection Inventing the Abbotts, and the memoir The Story of My Father. Both The Good Mother and Inventing the Abbotts were made into feature films. Her most recent novel, The Lake Shore Limited, will be published in early April. Ms. Miller lives in Boston, Massachusetts.

Elizabeth Berg is the author of many bestselling novels as well as two works of nonfiction. Open House was an Oprah’s Book Club selection, Durable Goods and Joy School were selected as ALA Best Books of the Year, and Talk Before Sleep was short-listed for an Abby Award. Her bestsellers also include The Year of Pleasures, The Day I Ate Whatever I Wanted, and Dream When You’re Feeling Blue. Ms. Berg lives near Chicago.
