Panel Discussion: Working on Paper

Panel Discussion: Working on Paper- Invention and Execution in Drawing
Tuesday, February 15, 7:30 pm

Wynn Kramarsky has assembled one of this country’s finest collections of modern and contemporary drawings.  This passionate collector leads an illuminating panel discussion with three artists from the current exhibition: Suzanne Bocanegra, Tad Mike, and Allyson Strafella.  This is a rare opportunity to learn what attracted Kramarsky to each artist’s work.  The artists, in turn, will describe their processes and the many unusual objects they employ in the service of mark-making – from walnut ink and hemlock needles to the punctuation marks of a typewriter.  This spirited back-and-forth will be accompanied by select visuals of the artists’ work, their materials, and their studios.
