Each day a teaching artist leads different art projects inspired by the Chinese-themed exhibitions on view. Projects include Chinese kites, dragon puppets, decorative calligraphy, and paper cutting.
April 3: Spring Blossom Watercolor Painting
Try your hand at Chinese watercolor painting, one of the oldest artistic traditions in the world.
April 4: Chinese Paper Cutting
Create intricate designs and images using traditional Chinese paper cutting techniques
April 5: Magical Dragon Mask
Create a special dragon mask in honor of the Chinese year of the dragon
April 6: Creative Fortune Cookies:
Make your own decorative fortune cookies to give out to friends and family
Children under age 6 must participate with an adult; 7 and older, adults must remain at the Museum. Adults pay regular museum admission, participating children: $3 members, $6 non-members. 914-232-9555 ext. 0
