Sunday, May 17, 2009

Meet at 11:00 amThis outing to the Storm King Art Center in New Windsor, NY, is the KMA’s second Mother-Daughter Date. Storm King’s five hundred acres of landscaped lawns, fields, and woodlands provide the setting for postwar sculptures by Richard Serra, Andy Goldsworthy, Louise Nevelson and others, including a new earthwork by Maya Lin. We will meet there for a private docent tour at 11:30 am, followed by a picnic (you bring the sandwiches, we’ll provide the snacks and refreshments), and a tram ride around the perimeter of the grounds.

Pre-paid reservations required. Space is limited.
$20 members, $25 non-members (a contribution of $5 is included in the cost)
