Take a private guided tour of public artwork in the city’s subway system as part of the MTA’s Arts for Transit program. Beginning at Grand Central Terminal, this midtown survey will visit work by
Donald Lipski, Roy Lichtenstein, Jacob Lawrence, Jane Dickson, Eric Fischl, Tom Otterness, and Elizabeth Murray, among many others. Travelers will learn about the artist selection process;
the challenges of fabrication, installation and maintenance; as well as the inspiration for such innovative public art. Amy Hausmann, Assistant Director of MTA Arts for Transit, is our guide.
