Assistant Curator
The Katonah Museum of Art (KMA) seeks a dynamic and collaborative Assistant Curator. Reporting to the Executive Director (ED), the Assistant Curator plays a vital role in advancing the KMA’s mission to create a more empathetic society through the transformative power of art. The Assistant Curator will support exhibitions curated by the Executive Director and outside curators, artists, and scholars. They will also have the opportunity to research, create, and organize their own exhibitions. Additionally, they will design, promote, and implement creative and engaging public programs that will help to deepen and broaden understandings of the topics and ideas presented.

Executive Assistant
The Executive Assistant supports the Executive Director (ED) of the Katonah Museum of Art. The Assistant will have direct oversight of the ED’s calendar, travel, and administrative needs and will act as liaison with staff, Trustees, Emeriti, Director’s Circle members, and external contacts. They will perform a wide variety of administrative tasks involving initiative, discretion, and independent judgment. Administrative support will also be provided to the Deputy Director (DD) as needed.
Marketing and Digital Media Coordinator
The Marketing and Digital Media Coordinator supports the internal and external messaging for the Katonah Museum of Art through the production of high-quality content that builds measurable audience engagement and brand recognition. The Coordinator is responsible for planning and implementing meaningful content across the Museum’s external print and digital platforms including press releases, printed and e-newsletters, website, social media channels, email marketing, print and electronic advertising, press outlets, and other communications channels. They are also responsible for managing, updating, and editing content on the Museum’s website.
Guest Services Associate
Guest Services Associates (GSA) at the Katonah Museum of Art (KMA) work as front-line ambassadors to create positive experiences for seasoned audiences and new visitors alike. They provide assistance across in-person, phone, and online channels during regular Museum hours and also assist with special events. GSA staff also serve as gallery guards, and ensure that all public spaces are immaculately maintained.

Internships
Our internship program was created with the intention of continuing to evaluate ways in which we can enhance the visibility of the Museum’s programs to attract a diverse audience – the overarching goal being to to build a program that serves students’ educational and professional development needs. Our aim is to nurture up‐and‐coming public relations professionals by offering a unique opportunity to work with a team that develops innovative programs that support the Museum’s growth.
The KMA provides supervised Museum internships designed collaboratively to meet the requirements for school credit. Students also have the opportunity to volunteer for community service credit. The KMA is a registered 501(c)(3) not for profit organization and an equal opportunity employer.

Volunteers
KMA volunteers are a special group of supporters who enrich the Museum through their energy, enthusiasm and service. Volunteers engage in a wide variety of activities from welcoming visitors and marketing events, to facilitating hands-on activities for kids and families.

Become an active member and expand your horizons. Many volunteer opportunities are available for curious, energetic adults. As an example, our engaging docent tour guides are a dynamic group of art enthusiasts who participate in college-level training workshops for each new and varied exhibition.
