The Learning Center
The Learning Center is a welcoming exhibition and activity space for children of all ages to:
- Enjoy art projects that change with each exhibition
- Create sculptures, paintings, collages, and more
- Learn about art through games, puzzles, and activities
- Read stories about art and the visual world
The Learning Center transforms seasonally with new installations, projects and materials that extend, expand, and deepen the gallery experience. Come see what the fun is all about.
From February 6-27 participants poems and collages are on view in American Stories: An exhibition of poems inspired by ARRIVALS.
During the exhibition Jeila Gueramian: Let's Step Inside, on view March 13−June 22, you will experience a magical environment full of whimsical creatures and surprising elements hand-crafted from recycled textiles.
ART HISTORY TIMELINE
Look up in the Learning Center to see the 80 silhouettes that form an art timeline. They were selected to represent important art moments around the world and throughout history.
Timeline Cards are photographs of artworks created by people from different cultures and time periods.

The Learning Center is open to the public for drop-in use during Museum hours. The Learning Center is occasionally closed for special events, school groups, and workshops, call 914-232-9555 for updates.
