Educators' Preview with Artist Damien Davis

March 26 2024 4:00pm - 6:00pm

Educators are invited to a preview of the KMA's spring exhibition There Is A Body, followed by a hands-on art workshop led by artist Damien Davis. Davis uses symbols and icons to deconstruct and reimagine themes of identity and representation and looks forward across time and space through an Afrofuturist lens. He will discuss his current installation Stellar Reverberations: African Masks in Outer Space and lead teachers in an exploration of kinetic sculpture techniques that they can take back to their learning environments.

This program is free for educators. Registration required.
