The KMA’s Curators in Conversation series features thought-provoking discussions with distinguished artists, curators, art historians, and experts. Conversations delve into the experiences, influences, and themes that shape artistic practices.

- October 19: Join us for a special edition of Artists in Conversation, between renowned artist and choreographer Shen Wei and the KMA's Director and Chief Curator Michelle Yun Mapplethorpe, for a discussion on the artist's multifaceted artistic practice spanning nearly fifty years. The talk will be accompanied by a presentation of Connect Transfer performed by Shen Wei Dance Arts.
- December 13: A conversation with Rachel Cooper, Asia Society’s Director, Performing Arts, Cultural Programs and Culture as Diplomacy Initiative; and Michelle Yun Mapplethorpe around Shen Wei’s choreographic practice within a global context. Reception Follows.
- January 7: (Virtual Event) A roundtable with the Rockefeller Brothers Fund. Meredith Horsford, Executive Director; Katrina London, Curator; and Elly Kelly, Manager of Public Programs and Residencies; Rockefeller Brothers Fund, join Michelle Yun Mapplethorpe; Elizabeth Monti, Associate Curator; and Margaret Adasko, Curator of Education; KMA, for a lively roundtable discussion around institutional collaboration and the organization of Shen Wei: STILL/MOVING.
